We specialise in stonework refurbishment & repairs to buildings and structures. We have considerable experience undertaking complex restoration projects across the United Kingdom utilising traditional techniques to preserve the original character and integrity of the stonework. Our skills are also essential in protecting stone from the effects of adverse weather and natural ageing. Case study: Marine Hotel, Troon

Zenith Property Conservation Limited was the Main Contractor for this project. For this refurbishment project we designed and erected all required scaffolding to allow safe pedestrian access for the main entrance of the existing building as well as accommodating all fire escapes and staff entrances for safe access and egress. All necessary signage was put into place clearly identifying all restrictions and hazards. The scaffold fully enveloped the building. In connection with the stonework, segmental arches were replaced involving structural steelwork used as temporary works. This element of the works was carried out under strict instructions and guidelines as directed by the clients Structural Engineer. This involved a high standard of stone dressings together with lime pointing and bedding. Some of the stone lintels were carved as well as the moulded cills and rybats, all to match the existing stone in size and mould.
